Montego Bay
The main tourist centre is Montego Bay, or MoBay as it is called locally, situated on the north coast. This is the home of the main Sangster International Airport .There is a huge variety of accommodation options here, with many all inclusive resorts, as well as villas and hotels. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and attractions, especially along the famous, mile-long Gloucester Avenue.
With five golf courses you will not want to leave your clubs at home if golf is your thing.
And of course there ar superb beaches, with outstanding snorkelling and Scuba diving. there are also many other activities to keep you busy, such as
floating down rivers on rafts, or, less sedately on tubes, or climbing up waterfalls
zip-lining or rollercoaster riding through the forests
off road exploring on all terrain vehicles, mountain bikes or horseback
exploring colonial history through visits to old plantations, historic towns or cockpit, one of the main historic homes of Maroons who had originally been slaves.
Negril
At the south west end of the island is the legendary seven mile beach of Negril. All along this exquisite beach are fantastic all inclusive resorts, and at the eastern end there are boutique hotels, villas and guest houses. Scattered along the beach are restaurants and bars.
For a completely laid back holiday, with just the beach and the sea, and a great place to stay and be looked after, this is an absolute favourite.
Ocho Rios

This area also has the full range of accommodation options and easy access to most of the adventure activities accessible from Montego Bay.
Port Antonio
Further west, along the north coast, under the backdrop of the Blue Mountains, is the delightful exclusive area of Port Antonio. With boutique hotels and villas nestled in secluded coves and up against the mountains this is is a connoisseur's dream.
Spend a little while here and it will not surprise you that this has been the playground of people like Randolph Hearst, J P Morgan and Errol Flyn.
