Fabulous Jamaica Holiday Options

They invented the all-inclusive concept and they have perfected it, so this is the perfect place to try it out.

There are options for families, adults only options and couples only options. There are even options for naturists! So there is not much chance that you won't be able to find what you are looking for.

Jamaica is also brilliant for villa holidays, however you think of a villa. It could be with or without your own butler, chef and chauffeur. It could be on its own or part of a resort. You could stay in a villa on all-inclusive, or you could stay in a self-catering villa. Let us know what you are thinking of and we will find the perfect villa for you and organise everything you need.

There are also guest houses, and boutique hotels for every taste and price range.

Oh, and it is the perfect place to get married or spend your honeymoon or both.

With three international airports and several carriers offering direct flights from different parts of the UK, Jamaica is incredibly easy to get to. More challenging is to choose where to go!

But of course you don't have to go to only one place. Why not think about splitting your holiday between different areas?

Montego Bay

The main tourist centre is Montego Bay, or MoBay as it is called locally, situated on the north coast. This is the home of the main Sangster International Airport .There is a huge variety of accommodation options here, with many all inclusive resorts, as well as villas and hotels. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and attractions, especially along the famous, mile-long Gloucester Avenue.

With five golf courses you will not want to leave your clubs at home if golf is your thing.

And of course there ar superb beaches, with outstanding snorkelling and Scuba diving. there are also many other activities to keep you busy, such as

  • floating down rivers on rafts, or, less sedately on tubes, or climbing up waterfalls
  • zip-lining or rollercoaster riding through the forests
  • off road exploring on all terrain vehicles, mountain bikes or horseback
  • exploring colonial history through visits to old plantations, historic towns or cockpit, one of the main historic homes of Maroons who had originally been slaves.

At the south west end of the island is the legendary seven mile beach of Negril. All along this exquisite beach are fantastic all inclusive resorts, and at the eastern end there are boutique hotels, villas and guest houses. Scattered along the beach are restaurants and bars.

For a completely laid back holiday, with just the beach and the sea, and a great place to stay and be looked after, this is an absolute favourite.

Ocho Rios

The second biggest tourist centre in Jamaica, and the main centre for cruise liners is Ocho Rios on the north coast.

This area also has the full range of accommodation options and easy access to most of the adventure activities accessible from Montego Bay.

Port Antonio

Further west, along the north coast, under the backdrop of the Blue Mountains, is the delightful exclusive area of Port Antonio. With boutique hotels and villas nestled in secluded coves and up against the mountains this is is a connoisseur's dream.

Spend a little while here and it will not surprise you that this has been the playground of people like Randolph Hearst, J P Morgan and Errol Flyn. As well as the ravishing coastline, the town has beautiful Georgian architecture ad easy access to the forest walks and nature trails of the Blue Mountains, with their beautiful rivers and waterfalls.

The capital city is Kingston, which sits on a magnificent natural harbour on the south coast. Full of history, art, music and drama, this is a place to explore and experience the history and culture of Jamaica, including its world renowned cuisine.

With city hotels, villas, and guesthouses, Kingston is also the gateway to the Blue Mountains which offer romantic secluded mountain retreats.

The South Coast

Between Kingston and Negril, along the South Coast is an area with miles and miles of beautiful beaches, fishing villages and farms. there is one all inclusive resort in this area and many small hotels, inns, villas and guest houses.

With excellent bathing and snorkelling, this area also has great access to plenty of adventure activities in the interior. For those who prefer the road less travelled this s a great option.

Jamaica is very well set up for weddings and many of the hotels and resorts have in-house wedding planners. Some offer free weddings as part of a package. Provided that you have been in Jamaica for 24 hours, have the right documentation and have applied for a wedding license in advance, you can get married:

  • on a beach
  • beside a waterfall, in a forest or on top of a mountain
  • on a yacht or on a river raft
  • in a chapel or in a plantation house
  • more or less anywhere you can think of.

And of course, you are already in the perfect place for a honeymoon.
