Brilliant Wild Coast & Eastern cape Beach Holidays
East of Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha) in the Eastern Cape, where the British settlers to South Africa established themselves in 1820, the coast delivers fantastic opportunities for beach holidays.
These are places that are much loved by South Africans who often go back to the same place year after year to relax on the beaches, or surf the waves while the children play in the rock pools, look for shells, paddle in the shallow water or build castles in the soft sand.
The Wild Coast is an iconic area for South Africans, symbolic of rugged beauty, secluded beaches and relaxed beach holidays.
Further south, south of the Geat Kei River the beaches are tamer, more accessible, more family friendly and still radically beautiful.
Ideally combined with a safari in the Addo National Park or at one of the outstanding Eastern Cape private nature reserves, these beaches offer a holiday with a real difference.
From early childhood we played on these beaches, and we know them well. We can get you to them safely and get you home again or on to another holiday destination. We make flexible bookings and we ensure that they are ABTA and ATOL protected.

Brilliant Beach Holiday Options On The Wild Coast & In The Eastern Cape
Kenton on Sea has one of the best child friendly family beaches in the country and the little port town of Port Alfred has a beautiful public beach. Just outside the town is the exclusive 5 star Oceana Wildlife Reserve which has a 5 mile stretch of exquisite private beach.
The second major port in the Eastern Cape, East London has several beaches, of which Nahoon Beach is by far our favourite.
Between East London and the border between the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal is the area known as the Wild Coast. This is one of the most remote, unspoiled, and, as the name suggests, wildest places in South Africa. It has many of the most beautiful beaches. They are harder to get to and less well served in terms of life guards and facilities, but if its spectacular coastal scenery and wonderful empty beaches you are looking for, this is the right place.
- Morgan Bay has lovely sandy beaches and towering cliffs.
- Qolora Mouth has some of the most stunning coastal scenery and is great for beach walking.
- Coffee bay is probably the best known beach on the Wild Coast and it does not disappoint!
- Mdumbi has a lovely mangrove lines estuary as well as a beautiful beach.
- Lwandile and Masikaba reward the really determined explorer with magically beautiful and completely isolated beaches.
- Port St Johns has a lovely sand beach.
Just outside Port St Johns, accessible either by road or by air is an extraordinarily beautiful resort at the mouth of the Umngazi River. With a wonderful tidal lagoon, miles and miles of beach and superb facilities this is a gem for any sort of a beach holiday.
